Frequently Asked Questions

You need the radio security code after a battery disconnect, replacement, or any event that causes the radio to lose power. The factory radio will display "CODE" and require the anti-theft PIN to unlock and resume normal operation.

Your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is a 17-character code found on a metal plate at the base of the windshield on the driver's side, on the driver's door jamb sticker, or on your vehicle registration and insurance documents.

The database covers approximately 85% of North American T1N Sprinters (2002–2006). Some VINs have incomplete legacy data. If your code is not found, try entering just the last 8 characters of your VIN. If still unsuccessful, contact a Mercedes-Benz dealer with your VIN and proof of ownership.

When the radio displays "CODE", use the preset station buttons (1–5) to enter each digit of the code. For example, if your code is 12345, press button 1 once, button 2 once, button 3 once, button 4 once, and button 5 once. Then press and hold the right-arrow or seek button to confirm. If incorrect, wait a few minutes before trying again.
